Zaragoza travel information

Zaragoza , the province and city are within the region of Aragon in the northern part of Spain. The region offers a wide diversity of landscapes and architecture.
Zaragoza is an excellent spot for all those who wish to go off and relax for one or two days not too far away from the city. Thanks to its strategic position, and its excellent communications network, a trip to the coast to do some sun-bathing or to the mountains to take part in some kind of sporting activity, particularly skiing, involves a two or three-hour journey. The range of possibilities on offer is incredibly wide.
The old town is full of authentic Spanish restaurants, and Aragon cooking is superb. Attractions include the Aljaferia castle , the greatest Moorish edifice outside Andalucia , the Roman Forum and Theatre of ancient Caesaraugusta , and the Basilica del Pila r, one of the most famous sanctuaries of the Virgin Mary in the world.
